Notice of Proposed Sale of Land (Paper Lane) – Kent Street

Baw Baw Shire Council (Council) hereby gives notice under Section 114 of the Local Government Act 2020 (Act) and Council’s Community Engagement Policy of its intention to sell the part of the land (paper lane) known as Kent Street, Warragul (TP960262Y vol 2184 / fol 670) subject to Council approval (STCA).

The paper lane is located between the Kent Street western properties and Civic Park. Council proposes to offer each Kent Street property to purchase a section of the paper lane, which corresponds with the existing Kent Street side boundary fence lines.

The title plan showing Council’s landholding is attached. The laneway is approximately 3m wide. The exact boundaries of the parcel will be subject to final survey.

The community is invited to comment on this proposal.

Any person wishing to make a submission on this proposal must do so by Friday 7 March 2025.  All submissions will be considered in accordance with Council’s Community Engagement Policy.

Submissions should be addressed to the Acting Chief Executive Officer and can be hand delivered to Council’s office at 33 Young Street, Drouin, emailed to baw.baw@bawbawshire.vic.gov.au or posted to PO Box 304, Warragul VIC 3820.

Any person requesting to be heard in support of their written submission is entitled to be heard before Council.
