Provided the proposed building meets the criteria outlined in the “key characteristics” document and your checklist, in most zones under the Baw Baw Planning Scheme a planning permit may not be required, noting that certain overlays can trigger the requirement for a permit.
Planning permit requirements are generally set out in the zones and overlays that apply to the land. To find out which zones and overlays to your land, you can enter your address and receive a planning property report at planning.vic.gov.au or speak with Councils planning department on 5624 2411.
