Trafalgar Cricket Club
The Trafalgar Cricket Club has been part of the community since 1888, and is founded on family values, located at the base of the Strzelecki ranges close to Moe and Yarragon. The club enjoys great local business support and an excellent crop of talented cricketers.
The Trafalgar Cricket Club competes in the Warragul District Cricket Association with First, Second, and Third XI teams, as well as junior teams for under 17, 15, and 13 levels, and an entry-level program for ages 5-10. The season runs from October to March. Senior training is on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30 pm at Trafalgar Recreation Reserve, with juniors welcome to join. Junior training details are provided by coaches before each season. Facilities include two practice nets, a portable net, a JUGS bowling machine, and regular fielding equipment.
First XI matches are on Saturdays and some Sundays starting at 12 pm, featuring two-day (80 overs) and one-day (40 overs) formats. Second XI plays on Saturdays, occasionally Sundays, starting at 12:30 pm with two-day (70 overs) and one-day (40 overs) formats. Third XI plays one-day matches (35 overs) on Saturdays starting at 12:30 pm. Junior matches are on Wednesday, Monday, and Friday evenings or Sunday mornings. Thursday dinners follow senior training, and the clubrooms are available for events. The club is a Level 3 Good Sports Club.
