The Victorian Seniors Festival is back and in-person in Baw Baw

The Victorian Seniors Festival is back and in-person this October, with plenty of free or low-cost activities on offer for residents across Baw Baw Shire.
The return of live events coincides with the 40th anniversary of the Victorian Seniors Festival, which runs annually across the state and celebrates community members aged 60 and over.
Some of this years’ local highlights include:
- West Gippsland Healthcare Group – Heart Foundation Walk
- Eastern Park Community Gardens – Cuppa and a chat
- Warragul Harness Racing Club – Race meeting
- Wakefield Vogrig & Boote – FREE Estate Planning session
- Warragul Leisure Centre – FREE Seniors Group Fitness sessions
- Lardner Park – Garden and Home Expo
- West Gippsland Arts Centre – performance by Lonnie Lee at Warragul Exhibition Hall
- Neerim District Senior Citizens Club – Concert and Afternoon Tea
- Warragul Croquet Club – Open day
To encourage Victorian Seniors to get back out there any enjoy what Victoria has to offer, free public transport will be available to all Victorian Senior Card holders throughout the duration of the festival.
Running from the 2 – 9 October, eligible seniors will be able to hop on and off public transport to visit attractions across Melbourne, as well as regional and rural locations, to fully experience a variety of exciting activities on offer throughout the Festival.
Interested community members can pick up a Festival program from Coles & Woolworths stores in Drouin and Warragul, West Gippsland Arts Centre, the Warragul Library, and Council’s customer service centre in Drouin.

The Victorian Seniors Festival is funded by the Victorian Government and rolled out by Local Governments across the state.
