Baw Baw Shire Council and Mindfull Aus have joined forces to offer an exciting free event next month that is set to bring locals together and provide participants with valuable strategies and knowledge to enhance their personal and professional lives.

“Paint the Town Green” is a free community-driven event on Friday 30 May at the Fountain Room at the West Gippsland Arts Centre and aims to provide relatable insights, meaningful discussions, and practical tools to help participants improve communication, resilience, and overall well-being.

The West Gippsland Arts Centre forecourt will light up green for the event and keynote speakers Will Paul and Andy Finestone OAM will provide simple yet powerful tools for being present and mindful.

Participants will go home with practical strategies for creating peace, balance, and happiness, even amidst adversity and gain insights into the science behind mindfulness and how it can improve mental health.

Baw Baw Shire Mayor Cr Danny Goss is encouraging the community to head along to the event in Warragul.

“This event will offer a space for the community to engage with expert speakers and gain practical tools to improve mental health, relationships, and emotional resilience,” he said.

CEO of Mindful Aus Matt Runnalls explains “green symbolises growth, healing, health, and the unity of the community coming together to learn and connect. It brings about a sense of renewal and the positive impact that the event aims to have on participants' emotional and mental well-being.”

Paint the Town Green is for adults 18+.

The event is funded by the Victorian Government's Council Flood Support Fund.

Doors open at 5.30pm. Registrations are required and can be made by visiting https://bawbawshire.co/PaintTownGreen
