Anyone looking for tips and tools to improve their mental health is encouraged to book a free “Let’s Have a Chat” session with local mental health advocates, Jason and Kerry Rantall.
Baw Baw Shire Council is partnering with local mental health agency Bettermentall Inc. to deliver the two sessions to be held in May and June.
Baw Baw Shire Mayor Councillor Danny Goss is delighted to offer this opportunity to the community.
“These sessions are for anyone working on their own mental health, or for those who are supporting a family member, friend, or colleague,” said Cr Goss.
“Jason and Kerry are passionate advocates for mental health and wellness and generously share their personal stories of living with mental health and addictions.”
“Small steps walked consistently create big change,” Jason gives insight into his journey with mental health and addiction, and how taking small steps helped him rebuild his life. He offers helpful tips on how to face difficult times and stay strong, offering hope and advice for anyone facing similar challenges.
Kerry, who supported Jason through his journey believes that “everyone needs support to become the best version of themselves.” She talks about the impact of caring for a loved one going through tough times and shares helpful advice for others in a similar situation.
