The Erica Country Expo, a full day of family friendly fun, is on its way to Erica Recreation Reserve, Saturday 15 January 2022. Visitors and locals are encouraged to book their tickets now to avoid missing out.

The event will feature something for everyone including wood chopping and chainsaw wood carving competitions, wine tastings and more. There will even be dedicated kids entertainment including face painting, a petting zoo, rides, and shows.

The Erica Country Expo is a welcomed tourism initiative aimed to encourage visitation and stimulate economic activity within a region that’s done it tough over the last few years. It will provide a vital boost for the local businesses and tourism operators who have faced many disruptions from bushfires, floods and the COVID-19 pandemic.

Baw Baw Shire Council has partnered with a local community planning committee and residents from Erica and surrounds to deliver the Expo as part of ongoing recovery support designed to reconnect the local community and revitalise its strength.

The Expo, having been delayed by COVID-19 restrictions, will mark the first in a series of community led events within the Shire’s eastern region supported by the Community Recovery Fund provided under Category C of the Commonwealth Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements.

All funds raised by the Erica Country Expo will go towards the planning and delivery of future community led, recovery and resilience-building initiatives.

Visit the Eventbrite page to purchase your tickets before time runs out!

For all event information please visit the Erica Country Expo facebook page.

“We are so excited for this fantastic event to take over Erica this January. Our local traders and small businesses in the Shire’s more remote communities rely on tourism and visitation for their livelihood. Like so many small businesses, they have faced challenges not just from the COVID19 pandemic but from floods and bushfires, too. They need our support more than ever.

This community-led event will be a fantastic boost for the local community and step in the right direction towards economic recovery. I encourage anyone who is hasn’t yet purchased their tickets, to jump online and secure their spot for this one-of-a kind event!”
