Planning and Development

Release of Planning Service Report

Council moved to publicly release the Planning Service Review Report prepared by consultant Andrew Wegener in September 2021, in response to requests made under the Freedom of Information Act 1982

Community Infrastructure

Petition Response: Parking on Albert Road, Warragul

Council moved to;

  • Note the recommendations of the 2019 Warragul Parking Study as endorsed by Council for implementation at the 9 September 2020 Council Meeting, and supported by the community panel in the Warragul Parking Community Panel Report, August 2020;
  • Not make any significant alterations to time parking restrictions in the Warragul CBD area unless recommended by the future Warragul Parking Study in 2025 and supported by Council; and,
  • Advise the lead petitioner of Council's decision.

Storm Event 14 August 2022 (AGRN 1029) - Works - North Canal Road, Trafalgar

Council accepted the quote submitted by McInnes Earthmoving Pty Ltd for Embankment Works - North Canal Road, Trafalgar for the total sum of $1,005,759 under CON2020043 for the Storm Event 14 August 2022 (AGRN 1029).

Economic Development, Grants and Advocacy

Annual Report of Operations 2021/22

Council noted the Annual Report of Operations 2021/22, and that the report was prepared according to the Local Government (Planning and Reporting) Regulations 2020.

Options for Delivery of Immunisation Services

Council moved to exercise the extension option for Contact 21949CT: Provision of Immunisation Services, endorsing a further 2-year-term and will utilise the extension term to further explore shared service models and opportunities. 

Governance and Information Services

Warragul Gardens Caravan Park

Council moved to;

  • Note the report on the options for the current permanent residents at the Warragul Gardens Caravan Park;
  • Allow current permanent residents of the Warragul Gardens Caravan Park to sell their residency rights under s195(1) of the Retail Tenancies Act 1997 (Vic) and take no further action and;
  • Directs the lessee of Warragul Gardens Caravan Park provide information under s145(E) to future residents before entering into an agreement under section s141(1) or s141(2) of the Retail Tenancies Act 1997 (Vic) such as any limitations on the caravan park owner's ability to grant interests in the land to the resident.

General Business Motion

  • Acting CEO, Caz McLean, raised a CEO General Business Motion to defer the GB Response - State Government Cost Shifting to the 9 November Council Meeting.
  • Cr Gauci praised officers for putting on the Children's expo; "it was a really good day, great to see the take up of the committee, would love to see if we can develop more of these. Really fun day, congratulations to the team".
  • Cr Wallace spoke about a recent SEATS committee meeting.
  • Cr Leaney spoke about the Tetoora Road Centenary event.
