Governance and Information Services
Length of Mayoral Term
Council resolved that the Mayor and Deputy Mayor are to be elected for a 1 year term, pursuant to Section 26 (3) of the Local Government Act 2020.
Election of the Baw Baw Shire Mayor
Councillor Annemarie McCabe re-elected as Baw Baw Shire Council Mayor for the 2023 - 2024 year.
Advisory Committee Activity Summary and Councillor Committee Appointments 2023 - 2024.
Council noted the Advisory Committee Activity Summary 2023, including meeting minutes and activity summaries lodged by the committee chairs and moved to;
- Appoint Councillor representatives to each Advisory Committee for 2023/2024;
- Appoint Councillor representatives to the outlined external committees for 2023/2024; and,
- Appoint Councillor representatives to the Audit and Risk Committee and CEO Performance Review Committee for 2023/2024.
Council Meeting Dates 2024
Council adopted the Council Meeting Dates for 2024, in accordance with Council's Governance Rules and noted the six-month trial of once-monthly Ordinary Council Meetings will conclude on 30 June 2024.
Baw Baw Shire Council Council Meetings are open to the public and are held at the West Gippsland Arts Centre, beginning at 5:30pm
All Council meetings will be live-streamed, and archived recordings will be available on the Council website for viewing.
The agenda for the next meeting will be available online the Friday prior to the meeting.
