Community invited to help update four Crown Rec Reserve Master Plans
Published on 26 October 2023
All locals and users of the recreation reserves at Darnum, Longwarry, Thorpdale and Willow Grove are invited to help Baw Baw Shire Council update the Master Plans for each location.
Council is currently reviewing and updating the four existing Crown Recreation Reserve Masterplans to make sure that they are up-to-date and ready to meet the changing needs and expectations of clubs, the broader community and Council.
As a first step to reviewing the Plans, Council undertook targeted workshops and direct consultation with user groups at each of the reserves between June and August 2023.
Using the detailed input from those groups, updated draft Master Plans have been prepared and and are now freely available to the public for review and feedback before they are finalised and adopted by Council.
Have your say, your way with Baw Baw Connect

“These Master Plans are important because they establish a clear direction for the future planning, provision and enhancement of sport and community infrastructure,” says Mayor of Baw Baw Shire Cr Annemarie McCabe. “They are essential for attracting grant funding from both the State and Federal governments to deliver the facilities our community needs.”
“On behalf of Council, I’d like to thank the local clubs and user groups for their input into the process so far, and to invite the wider community to take advantage of this opportunity to give the plans a good look and let us know if we’ve got them right.”
Community feedback will be accepted until Thursday 23 November 2023 via www.bawbawconnect.com.au.
