In celebration of Children’s Week 2022 (22 October – 30 October) Baw Baw Shire Council’s Children’s Expo is back with a free and interactive event aimed at encouraging play and learning development for the Shire’s youngest residents.
All parents and carers of young children in the Shire are welcome to come along to the Expo with their little ones to enjoy a range of activities including free face painting, sensory play activities, sing-alongs, and StoryTime sessions with Warragul Library – MyLi.
- Baw Baw Shire Council’s Children’s Expo
- When: Tuesday 25 October from 10am - 1pm
- Where: 12 George Street, Warragul (Next to Grace Berglund Kindergarten)
This year’s theme is ‘Children have the right to a standard of living that supports their wellbeing and healthy development’.
Taking place at the new venue at George St Warragul, Council staff will be available on site to provide information on a range of Family and Children’s services available for Baw Baw Shire residents including kindergartens, family day care, immunisation sessions, and maternal and child health care services.
Baw Baw Shire Council’s Children’s Expo is just one of over 140 free Children’s Week events supported by the Victorian Department of Education and Training to celebrate the talents, skills and achievements of children, and their right to connect with others and respectfully share their views.

“In the past two years alone, Baw Baw Shire has seen a number of new and young families move into our Shire who may not be fully across all of Council’s Family and Children’s services available to them.
We are thrilled to host the Children’s Expo, in person again and look forward to welcoming all families with youngsters to come along to the expo, learn more about the services in their Shire and enjoy all the fun activities on show!”
