Baw Baw's Early Years Expo is back and bigger than ever
Published on 28 April 2023
The Paint Baw Baw REaD Early Years Expo is back and heading to the West Gippsland Arts Centre this June.
The expo provides the opportunity for local businesses, organisations, and services to come together and share information, resources, and advice to young families within our community. It also allows parents and carers to learn more about the range of services available to them and their children, and to make informed decisions about the best services for their family.
When: Saturday 17 June, 9.00am to 2.00pm
Where: Fountain Room, West Gippsland Arts Centre, Warragul
Stallholder expressions of interest are now open and local businesses and organisations are encouraged to apply to be part of the fun, friendly and informative day out.
The expo is open to businesses, organisations and services that cater for the needs of young children and their families. These include but are not limited to:
- Playgroups
- Physical Activity & Education groups
- Creative Arts
- Performing Arts
- Education & Literacy
- Paediatric Health Services
- Any other group that provides early years focused services
Businesses wanting to join the fun and help make this year’s expo bigger and better than ever can register their interest online.
To ensure families get the best experience possible, the expo will be boosted to include larger stallholder spaces, including interactive stalls, larger areas for performances and entertainment, a designated pram parking and breast-feeding area and much more.
The first Paint Baw Baw REaD Early Years Expo was held in May 2022 and was incredibly successful, featuring over 30 participating businesses, 20 schools and kindergartens and approximately 400 of Baw Baw’s youngest residents attending on the day.
Quotes attributable to Mayor Cr Annemarie McCabe
“After such a successful Expo last year, we are excited to make this one even bigger and better. With so many new families in the Baw Baw Shire, this is a great way for our community to connect not only with each other, but services available to them.”
“We are proud to support the Paint the Town REaD initiative to foster and develop literacy skills within our young kids and look forward to seeing you all at the expo.”
