Early Childhood Careers Expo

After the success of last year, Baw Baw Shire Council is excited to announce that we will host another ‘Early Childhood Careers Expo’.

The Early Childhood Careers Expo will showcase a vast range of education and career providers to inspire our community and students in years 10, 11, and 12 to consider working in early childhood (Maternal Child and Health Nurse, Long Day Care, Family Day Care, Kindergarten).

Date: Tuesday 27^th May 2025

Time: 9:30am – 12pm

Location: West Gippsland Art Centre (Foyer and Lyrebird room)

The Expo will include:

24 stalls;
Pop-up Playgroup;
Virtual Reality Headset showcasing Early Childhood;
Interaction with Baw Baw Shire Family Day Care staff, Educators, and children;
Hear from guest speakers from each area of Early Childhood.

The Expo is part of a broader effort to address the significant shortfall in Early Childhood Educators. It will also provide an opportunity for our community to explore all the different career pathways into Early Childhood and promote such a rewarding profession.
