Careers in Early Years

The Victorian Government is investing almost $5 billion over ten years so that children across the state will have access to two years of funded kindergarten programs.

This means that an extra year of play-based learning will be added to Victorian children’s education. The learning is led by a teacher.

Financial support in the form of scholarships and employment incentives is available for people looking for a rewarding career in the early childhood sector.

Three-Year-Old Kindergarten will create more than 6,000 new early childhood education jobs across Victoria, including over 4,000 teachers and 2,000 educators.

Baw Baw Shire Council does not employ Early Years Educators directly, but please follow the links for further information or current careers opportunities with registered service providers in the area.
