Cr Brendan Kingwill

Councillor Brendan Kingwill was elected to Baw Baw Shire Council in 2024.

Having lived in Baw Baw Shire his entire life, Cr Kingwill is part of five generations to call this region home. He is actively involved in the local community and sporting clubs, receiving a life membership from the Yarragon Cricket Club and Trafalgar Chamber following 25 years of service.

A small business advocate, Cr Kingwill has an expansive career as a small business owner, currently operating multiple businesses within Baw Baw Shire.

He has spent time on various committees including the Victorian Small Business Council, Inaugural Chair of the Baw Baw Shire Business Advisory Board, The Regional Gippsland Business Council as well as other local community boards.

As a Councillor, he has a focus on fiscal responsibility and ensuring Council’s systems and processes are effective in supporting the community. He is an open book, an approachable listener and active voice for ratepayers who aims to support positive outcomes on issues affecting the community.

Cr Kingwill is proud of the rich diversity that Baw Baw Shire offers from its kind people, beautiful landscapes, thriving tourism economy, varied retail offerings and productive farming land.

Looking forward, Cr Kingwill aims to support a simpler lifestyle with fresh air, open spaces and a safe place to raise a family with all the basic services available to support residents of all ages.

During his tenure on Council, Cr Kingwill is determined to leave the Shire in better condition than when he arrived.

Cr Adam Sheehan

Councillor Adam Sheehan was elected to Baw Baw Shire Council in 2024.

A Neerim South local for over four decades, Cr Sheehan has deep roots in the Neerim South community. He currently runs a family owned and operated micro-brewery business based in town.

He is a life member at Neerim South Junior Football Club, current member of the Neerim District Progress Association, former board member and director of the Community Bank, and former member of the Mt Baw Baw Alpine Resort Chamber of Commerce.

Cr Sheehan strives to support a unified community in Baw Baw Shire contributing to liveability, sustainability and balance in growth for the local economy through small businesses. His favourite thing about Baw Baw Shire is its people and natural landscapes – and the diversity of both.

Cr Shehan is proud to represent Baw Baw Shire and its constituents and looks forward to working closely with his fellow Councillors to achieve positive outcomes for the whole community.

Cr Kate Wilson

Councillor Kate Wilson was first elected to Baw Baw Shire Council in 2024.

Cr Wilson has lived in Baw Baw Shire for well over a decade, residing in both Warragul and Neerim Junction. She has corporate experience in children's services, human resource management, organisation development and change management, as well as business experience in beef farming.

She has been involved in several local community groups including playgroups, land care groups, hall committees and pony club.

As a Councillor, her goal is to enhance the liveability of Baw Baw Shire through a strong local economy, local jobs, training and education, well planned transport networks, great sporting and recreation facilities and inspiring parks, arts and events.

Cr Wilson is focused on supporting thriving rural towns and ensuring residents right across Baw Baw have access to great liveability and beautiful places to call home.

Cr Wilson is committed to a positive future for Baw Baw Shire with careful planning, protection and investment in our farming land, natural assets and unique regional community-feel.

What Cr Wilson loves most about living in Baw Baw Shire is the beautiful natural landscapes, rich agricultural history and strong community spirit.
