Drouin Civic Park Upgrade

The new and improved features in the project include:

• New play area including playground, trampolines and accessible play equipment
• Water play area
• Establishment of a wetland park and board walk
• New fitness park area
• Embankment hill slide, climbing wall and flying fox
• Parkour area
• Kickabout area
• Extended accessible footpath network including educational traffic loop
• Tree planting and fresh landscaping
• Plant collection areas
• New barbecue and shelter areas
• New and upgraded park furniture including bench seating
• Public toilet upgrade to include disability and baby change facilities
• New bins
• Car park upgrade

Update 17 February 2021

With the northern end of the park open, the playground equipment has begun arriving on site. 

Update 15 March 2021 

Play equipment continues to arrive on site, adding to the excitement of the project. The water play area is also underway, along with the connecting pathways and bike loop.

Update 31 March 2021 

Following some recent wet weather, the completion date of the park has been moved from the end of March to mid April 2021. Play equipment, connecting pathways and shelters continue to progress.

Update 5 May 2021

The fence is down at Civic Park! The new play area is now open to the public. The BBQ areas remain closed while grass is established, so please be mindful of the barriers.
